Luxembourg as a starting point...
Green Impact was founded by three high school students who identified an opportunity in the shift away from plastic straws following the EU ban and the poor acceptance of paper alternatives. Starting with a single pallet funded by their own investment, the founders personally introduced the product to restaurants across Luxembourg, generating strong word-of-mouth demand.
What began as a small, hands-on initiative has since scaled into an international business, now supplying over five million eco-friendly straws annually across four countries and serving more than 800 clients.

Our eco-friendly straws are crafted from corn starch and activated charcoal for coloring. For custom orders with different colors, we use food coloring.
Are straws edible?
While our straws are technically edible and safe for consumption without harm, we do not recommend consuming them. They are primarily designed as food-contact materials, specifically intended for use in beverages.
How long do straws last?
Our straws typically have a lifespan of up to 2 hours when used in cold beverages. However, due to their all-natural composition, slight variations in durability may occur.
Can straws be used with hot beverages?
Yes, our straws are suitable for use with hot beverages. However, it’s essential to note that they may experience a quicker rate of softening and becoming soggy when exposed to higher temperatures, as compared to their performance in regular or cold drinks.
